Baby Unit (4mnths -1yr)

At Once Upon A Time we believe that regular feeding, changing and sleeping are only a small part of baby's needs. We make sure all of "our" babies are each given constant individual attention and physical contact- singing, talking, hugging and cuddling. Our staff work in partnership with parents to ensure that when your baby starts, their routine is as unchanged as possible and is always child led. As your baby grows and develops, we will ensure that your baby's routine changes with their needs. Our experienced and qualified staff will work in conjunction with parents regarding issues such as teething, weaning etc and can be used as a valuable source of advice on any developmental or health issue that parents may have.

Our baby unit consists of a dedicated sleep room and a play room. The sleep room is the place where each child has their own individual cot for the duration of their stay in the baby unit. This room offers a soothing, calm atmosphere where your baby can nap as and when they need. The play room in contrast provides a colourful and stimulating environment. There is a vast variety of age appropriate toys and equipment which will meet every baby's overall developmental needs in the homely, cosy environment.

We provide:

• breakfast
• a hot nutritional meal at lunch time (however while a baby is being weaned parents may prefer to provide their own food)

You provide:

• 2 snacks
• a change of clothes
• bottles ( we will make up bottles if you provide a formula, however parents are responsible for sterilizing them )
• nappies
• cream
